I'm super excited to announce that we've partnered up with YandereDev to co-develop and publish Yandere Simulator, a stealth game about stalking a classmate whom you have a crush on, and taking down any competition that stands in the way.
You play as Yandere-chan, a seemingly innocent student studying in a Japanese academy. She has a crush on "Senpai". He doesn't know that she exists - and that's exactly the way she wants it. She won't confess to him until she's certain that all of the competition has been eliminated. Imagine Hitman if it was an anime.
The game has already made waves in the media, and the devlog channel has 1.4 million subscribers. The reasons we partnered up are detailed in YandereDev's latest video, and here's the short-version:
We love the game's design and are going to build a development team to elevate the game's production values, where the original dev assumes role of Design Lead
This project's structure is very similar to what we did with co-developing SpeedRunners, which went onto sell 1.4m copies on Steam
Similar to Hello Neighbor, we will do a Paid Alpha and/or a Crowdfunding campaign to expand the game's budget and dictate the final scope
We're excited to bring Yandere Simulator to PC and many more platforms in the near future. Stay tuned.
PS like the video says, if we screw this up, my wife will not be happy as a fan of the game
